What is Tummy Time?
Tummy time is definitely one of the very first exercises for your baby and yes, it’s important!
Tummy time is the practice of putting your baby on the tummy while they’re awake and supervised by parents or adult. It’s a crucial exercise for the baby’s visual, motor, and sensory development. Tummy time to certain extent helps to prevent flat head, flat spots or positional plagiocephaly due to prolonged hours of lying on the back.
Baby can begin tummy time as a newborn, and continue throughout baby’s first year.

How Often Should You Do Tummy Time?
You can start with small increments of a few minutes at a time, several times a day. Eventually, try to longer the tummy time sessions, eventually building up to a full hour up to two or three times a day but always under supervision.
